The Guangzhou Liwan Laser and Additive Manufacturing Industrial Park has been officially opened; the Bengbu Wuhe Optoelectronic Industrial Park completed construction and went into operation; the construction of Xuchang Dongtai Laser Industrial Park has been further accelerated; the Phase III of Xiaogan Laser Industrial Park has entered the final sprint stage; and the photonic chip production line in Nanjing Jiangbei New Area is soon to be put into use...

Focusing on cutting-edge sectors such as laser equipment manufacturing, additive manufacturing, intelligent optoelectronics and photonic chips, these five major laser industrial parks are accelerating the formation of regional industrial agglomeration effects through the construction of high-standard carriers, the establishment of full-chain ecosystems and the empowerment of targeted policies.

1. Liwan Guangzhou：

Building a Highland for Consumer-Grade Laser Intelligent Manufacturing with 1.38 Billion Yuan Investment

On November 24, 2025, the Guangzhou Laser and Additive Manufacturing Industrial Park was officially opened in Hailongwei Science and Technology Innovation Zone, Liwan District, Guangzhou. With a total investment of 1.38 billion yuan and a total construction area of 187,000 square meters, the park is the first and only provincial-level laser and additive manufacturing industrial park in Guangzhou.

According to reports, the park focuses on three core sectors: laser and additive manufacturing, intelligent equipment, and next-generation information technology, with plans to construct three functional zones for R&D and office work, production and manufacturing, as well as living services. Its design featuring industrial plants on upper floors is particularly notable: with a floor height of 8 meters, a load capacity of 3 tons, and a dual-circuit power supply system, it effectively ensures the safe continuous production of laser enterprises.

At present, the park has attracted the entry of 9 industrial chain enterprises, including the Guangzhou Future Additive Manufacturing Research Institute led by Academician Leng Jinsong, Ruitong Additive Manufacturing, and Hanbang Laser. The lease rate has reached 30%, and the expected annual output value is set to hit 1 billion yuan upon full occupancy. The park is also equipped with supporting facilities such as a smart canteen, talent apartments, and shared meeting rooms to strengthen soft service support.

Furthermore, Liwan District has established a 1-billion-yuan industrial development fund and issued special support policies. In 2024, the scale of the district’s laser and additive manufacturing industrial cluster reached nearly 6 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 8%, and it was successfully selected as a Provincial Characteristic Industrial Cluster for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises.

Looking ahead to the 15th Five-Year Plan period, Liwan District has clearly set the goal of striving for a 10-billion-yuan industrial scale. It will focus on expanding the applications of 3D printing in consumer scenarios such as dentistry, smart wearables, and cultural and creative products, striving to build a globally influential highland for consumer-grade intelligent manufacturing.

2. Rise of Northern Anhui:

Optoelectronic Industrial Park with Over 700 Million Yuan Investment Completed Ahead of Schedule

On November 13, 2025, all 13 workshops of the Optoelectronic Industrial Park in Wuhe County, Bengbu City, Anhui Province were fully completed, four months ahead of the original schedule. With a total investment of 707 million yuan, covering an area of 340.6 mu and with a total construction area of approximately 370,000 square meters, the project has built 26 standardized workshops and comprehensive supporting buildings.

Focusing on fields such as intelligent optoelectronics, touch screens, LED lighting and optoelectronic devices, the park is committed to building an integrated "R&D-production-application" ecosystem. The contractor, China State Construction Eighth Engineering Division Corp., Ltd., adopted new technologies including disc buckle scaffolding and intelligent floor-finishing robots, ensuring that the floor flatness error is within 4 millimeters to meet the installation requirements of precision equipment.

To address challenges such as high temperatures and rainy seasons, the project implemented a 24-hour shift system, scientifically allocated resources, and achieved efficient coordinated construction. Road asphalt paving, pipeline embedding, fire-fighting facilities and other works were all completed simultaneously to high standards, providing move-in ready conditions for enterprises.

As the project owner, Wuhe Zhenxin Industrial Investment Co., Ltd. has clearly positioned the park as the core carrier of the optoelectronic industry in Northern Anhui. In the future, it will focus on attracting upstream and downstream enterprises, promote the transformation of local traditional industries to high-end manufacturing, and enhance the competitiveness of the county's economy.
