Full-service sheet metalwork manufacturer Malton Laser (Malton, England), whose services include laser cutting, has provided a series of large stainless-steel hoppers to be used by one of Britain's biggest listed food companies that manufactures brands that appear in 95% of British households.

In total, six large metal vats have been manufactured, each measuring 1.5 m wide and 1.6 m high. The hoppers will be filled with melted chocolate and situated in 2.2-m-high frames to create confections for supermarkets across the country.
After drawing up the designs from a sample provided by the client using the latest CAD technology, the company cut the shapes required out of sheets of stainless steel using one of its two Bystronic fiber laser cutting systems.

These laser-cut panels were then pressed and rolled in the company's press department, before being welded together to create the final form.
